Force Refresh (Reload)

Brian just told me to “force a browser reload” to fix something and you’re wondering what on earth could he possibly mean. Fear not!
Depending on your operating system/browser all you need to do to accomplish the reload is using the following key combination for each page you vist.

Windows: ctrl+F5
Mac/Apple: Apple+R or command +R
Linux: F5
FireFox F5 Or Ctrl + R

Why Force Refresh (Reload)

Each time you access a web site page through your web browser, the browser caches (stores) the web page on your computer.
This can lead to problems if a web site page is updated and your browser is still using the old version of the web page.
Forcing a REFRESH/RELOAD over rights the old web site page with the new updated web site page.
Updating the browser’s cache can clear up a lot of these problems.

Disabling Your Browser Cache.

• From the menu select "Tools"
• 
• Select "Internet Options"
• Under the GENERAL Tab look for "Browsing History"
• Click on "Settings"
• 
• Under the heading "check for newer versions of stored pages"
• Choose the "Every time I visit the webpage" option.
• 
• Click OK will close the "Settings" window.
• Click OK again to close the "Internet Options" window.
• Close your browser.
• Open your browser again and go to www.gayprideuk.com
• You should then be Problem Free.
• This will ensure that you are seeing the most up to date version of GPUK and all the other sites that you may visit.
